Pikey Peak, Christmas Trip

A Pikey Peak Christmas Adventure

If you are not the traditional type and prefer to get away from the commercial mayhem of Christmas, why not plan a trip to Nepal and participate in this special journey to Solu, the home of the Sherpa People and discover Pikey Peak, one of the best New Enduro style mountain bike trips in Nepal.

This trip is lead by Himalayan Single Tracks own Jevi Limbu along with area specialist Dawa Sherpa, both having many years experience in mountain biking guiding. Together they will show the best trails and also how to have a good time the Nepali way. (Late campfire nights with songs, jokes and dancing and of course local raski).

What most people come to Nepal for is to be close to the fable Sagarmatha the highest mountain in the world. While still, it is not permitted to bike in the Everest region as such, we can take you as close as possible. The Sherpa Trail offers stunning views of the mighty Everest, the chance to explore virgin trails, an epic 2000m descent from Pikey Peak (4065m) and an introduction to the simple and beautiful life of the Sherpa people of Nepal.

The area is rife with single track, dense jungle, community forest trails and open Yak Pastures, making it an awesome place for mountain biking. Not only that, here you will find what many seek – solitude, simplistic living and pristine wilderness. This is an extraordinary biking journey not to be missed, one that is light years away from any bike park you have ever ridden in.

But it’s not an easy one, epic descents come with epic assents, so while we can offer some jeep and porter assistance, be prepared to hike a bike a bit and also hone your technical skills as it’s no fun if you have to walk the downs as well as the ups!

This is one of the best, newly discovered mountain bike trails and single tracks in Nepal and we cannot wait to share the Sherpa Trail with you.

The trip is 7 days from Kathmandu to Kathmandu

Departure Date:- 21st Dec 2017.
