At Himalayan Single Track, we love community and we love mountain biking. In 2020 we are adding more weekend community rides to our schedule. Mountain Biking is one of the great ways to grow new friendships, improve your health and fitness and get out and explore the beautiful hidden trails around our Valley.
Weather you are a new rider or a seasoned rider, it does not matter. The team at Himalayan Single Track has a ride to suit everyone. Our fun Saturday rides explore all areas of the Kathmandu Valley and we mix it up with advanced rides, beginner rides and rides for Kids.
The rides vary from short, fun introduction rides, to day long shuttle assisted Enduro style rides and skills courses.
What if I do not Have My Own Bike? If you don’t have a bike, it does not matter, we offer affordable bike hire to locals and you can even test ride some of Giants bike models to help you decide which bike to buy in the future.
How Much Does it Cost? Most of the rides are free, unless there is shuttles involved. In that case the shuttle cost will be informed prior to the ride. In most cases you should bring money for your own snacks, drinks and entry fees to any park we might go to.
How Do I join the Rides? To join the rides, you can either call our office – 014700909 and let us know you are coming, message us via our Himalayan Single Track Facebook Page or simple turn up at the designated time and place.
You can contact us through messenger in Facebook via either one of these two pages.
Where Do I get Information About When and Where the Rides Are? For updates on the rides you can follow our facebook page, where information about upcoming rides will be posted in the week prior to the ride.
How Long are the Rides? The rides will vary in length and difficulty. The grade of the ride, distance and approximate time will be posted on our facebook page prior to the ride.
What Should I bring to These Rides? For these rides you need to bring you own day pack with some snacks, water, tools and spare parts needed for your bike and also some cash for expenses during the ride. You will be required to wear a helmet at all times while riding with Himalayan Single Track.
