Meet Bhairava the fearful looking Hindu Deity. Bhair originates from the word bhīru, which means “fearful”. Bhairava means “terribly fearful form”. He is also known as one who destroys fear or one who is beyond fear. The right interpretation is that he protects his devotees from dreadful enemies, greed, lust and anger. At Himalayan Single Track, we like the image of Bhairava and think the meaning of eliminating fear goes hand in hand with mountain biking in Nepal.
