The Classic MTB Circuit
The Annapurna Circuit by mountain bike is one of Nepal’s true classic rides, a big Himalayan journey that climbs from the lower river valleys into high alpine landscapes before crossing the legendary Thorong La Pass at 5,416m. It is a ride of huge contrasts: lush valleys, suspension bridges, waterfalls, pine forests, dry Mustang-style landscapes, prayer walls, yak pastures and some of the most dramatic mountain views in Nepal. By bike, the circuit becomes more than a trekking route. It becomes a challenging, beautiful and constantly changing cross-country adventure through the heart of the Annapurna region.
This is not a generic bike tour. It is a proper mountain biking journey that rewards good fitness, steady climbing legs and confident bike handling. The early days build the rhythm as you climb higher through villages and changing terrain, while the crossing of Thorong La delivers the big mountain moment. From there, the descent toward Mustang and the Kali Gandaki Valley is unforgettable. Along the way, you stay in local teahouses, experience high-altitude culture and ride through landscapes shaped by centuries of trade, pilgrimage and mountain life. Our classic Annapurna Circuit MTB itinerary can also be adapted with extensions to places like Tilicho Lake, Naar Phu or Upper Mustang, creating a ride that is as personal as it is iconic.

Seasonal Guide
Weather in the Annapurna region can change quickly due to the wide range of altitude, from warm lower valleys to cold high mountain passes. Spring and autumn usually offer the best conditions for riding and trekking, with clearer skies and comfortable temperatures, while winter can be cold at higher elevations and monsoon brings rain, landslides, and challenging trail conditions. Always be prepared for sun, wind, rain, and cold, especially when traveling above 3,000m.
