Day 01Arrival in Nepal Arrival and transfer to hotel.
Meet with your guide for a trip briefing and gear check, followed by a welcome dinner featuring traditional Dal Bhat and a wander around the night streets of Thamel.
Day 02Fly to Pokhara Morning flight to Pokhara (25 mins).
The flight to Pokhara, in clear weather, can be spectacular with tantalizing views of the snow capped Himalayas. We touch down in Pokhara and check into the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing includes a boat ride across the lake, a hike to the World Peace Pagoda, and a visit to Davis Falls and the Tibetan refugee camp.
Day 03Trekking from Nayapul (1070m) to Ulleri (1960m)
Drive to Nayapul to begin the trek. It's a relatively short drive, not more than an hour. We undergo some formalities at the check post to validate our permits and then we are off on the ascent! The trail follows the river before climbing the stone staircase to Ulleri, a lovely village nestled into the hillside.
Day 04Trekking from Ulleri (1960m) to Ghorepani (2660m)
Today is an uphill trek through beautiful old-growth rhododendron forests to the village of Ghorepani. We trek on an ancient stone staircase, which reflects the traditional style of the Himalayas. Picture a time before roads, this was itself the life blood of the region. While you are trekking you will be passed by mule trains ferrying gas and supplies up to the village, locals still use this old fashioned style of supply, despite there being road access nowadays.
Day 05Summit Poonhill (3210m) and Trek to Tatopani (1190m)
Not everyone loves the idea of waking up early and heading out into the cold darkness, but trust us the 1.5 to 2 hour hike to the Poonhill summit is well worth it. As the sun rises the mountains paint themselves pinks and purples. Be prepared to have your breath taken away. Once the selfies are done we head back down to the teahouse for a well earned breakfast. After breakfast, the real fun begins, we walk the short distance to the road head, where our bikes are awaiting. We then roll on down about an 18km descent to the river side town of Tatopani. Tatopani itself means “hot water” and here you will find a hot spring to while away the afternoon in.
Day 06Biking to Rafting
Leaving behind Tatopani we ride around 32km on open jeep tracks along the river towards our rafting point. Here we meet our river team and trade pedals for paddles! After a river side lunch and safety briefing we hit the river, the mighty Kali Gandaki, the black goddess! Early on in the trip, the rapids come thick and fast. After a couple of hours on the river on day one we break for camping.
Day 07Rafting on the Kali Gandaki River
We spend a full day on the river, taking lunch on the way. Our camp sites are on pristine beaches, a great place to relax and unwind for a day's rafting and enjoy the cooking of our river teams! The second day is a full day of rafting, with plenty of time to explore nearby villages and temples. Once again camping on the river banks.
Day 08Rafting to Take Out and Drive to Pokhara
Final day on the river. We pack up camp and paddle downstream for an hour or so. The river widens out as we near the dam. After reaching the dam, drive 3 hours back to Pokhara for a celebratory dinner.
Day 09Rest Day in Pokhara
Free day to enjoy the lakeside vibe or participate in optional activities like paragliding, zip-lining, or yoga.
Day 10Fly to Kathmandu
Transfer to Pokhara airport for your flight to Kathmandu.
Day 11Departure from Nepal
Transfer to the airport for your outbound flight.

Seasonal Guide

BEST TIME TO MULTI ADVENTURE

The best seasons for this type of multi-adventure trip are generally spring and autumn, when the weather is more stable, mountain views are clearer and temperatures are comfortable for trekking, biking and rafting. Spring brings warmer days and blooming rhododendron forests, while autumn usually offers crisp air and excellent visibility. River conditions can change throughout the year, especially on the Kali Gandaki. Water levels are often higher after the monsoon and lower during the drier months, which can affect the style, speed and difficulty of the rafting section. As with all Himalayan adventures, weather and conditions can change quickly, so we recommend contacting us for advice based on your travel dates.
