A true once in a life time mountain bike expedition into a forgotten wilderness
This isn’t just another bike trip. This is a full-blown Himalayan odyssey.
Upper Dolpo sits tucked away in the far northwest of Nepal, where the Tibetan plateau crashes into the wild folds of the Himalayas. Isolated for centuries, Dolpo remains one of the highest inhabited regions on the planet, a place where ancient culture, rugged landscape, and raw mountain riding collide in one unforgettable journey.
For two weeks we trace old salt-trading trails, traverse high passes that flirt with 5,000 meters, and ride through villages where life hasn’t changed for centuries. Think endless alpine ridgelines, yak-carved singletrack, stark high-desert valleys, and nights spent under a ceiling of stars so close you’ll swear you can touch them.
This is not an easy ride. The climbs are long and steep, the altitude is real, and the terrain is wild. It demands fitness, determination, and a taste for real adventure. Each night we camp beneath the stars, often shoulder to shoulder with nomads and yak herders who still move through these valleys as their ancestors did.

Seasonal Guide
Weather in the Dolpo region can change quickly, and delays due to flights, visibility or trail conditions are always possible. With climate change, traditional seasons are also becoming less predictable. Dolpo is also a very remote area, with lots of high passes, which can be covered in snow at times, making the season short.
