Expect a mix of fast and flowy, steep and techy, and full-on grin-inducing goodness. And when the clouds part? Epic Himalayan views from the top. Nagarjun Enduro

Tucked away just minutes from the city, Nagarjun is a local legend. These hand built ridge line trails are the pride of the Kathmandu riding scene, steep, punchy, and pure flow. Dropping through thick jungle with peekaboo mountain views, each trail ranges from 1.7 to 3km and delivers its own flavor of fun: tight turns, sneaky roots, fast rollers, and natural jumps. This is session-style riding at its best. We shuttle, ride, repeat, dialing in our lines and chasing flow until the legs say stop. On the way back to Thamel, we swing past another gem: the infamous Monkey Trail - a quick-hit descent that finishes the day with a grin and a little dust on your shins. If you want to ride like a local, this is the place.

Nagarkot to Bhaktapur

Start the day on a high, literally. We drive up to Nagarkot, a stunning hilltop station perched on the rim of the Kathmandu Valley. After a quick climb to the view tower, soak in the Himalayan panorama (on a clear day, the peaks feel close enough to touch). Then it’s time to ride. We roll out on mostly gentle trails and quiet backroads, flowing downhill through terraced farms and villages, passing through Rhoni Bhanjyang and Tinghare. Expect a few short climbs, a bit of dust, and a whole lot of smiles on this scenic 16km ride. The grand finale? Bhaktapur, the ancient Newari capital. We park the bikes and explore the city’s maze of temples, alleys, and courtyards, a cultural goldmine frozen in time. Enjoy a local lunch before we load up and cruise back to Kathmandu. Perfect for beginner to intermediate riders who want a little bit of everything views, culture, and fun.

Heli Pad Hero

A Kathmandu MTB rite of passage. This local classic kicks off with a shuttle drop at Dhadagoan, straight into “30 Minutes of Heaven”, a dreamy, flowing jungle descent that sets the tone. From there, we earn our turns with a steady 2.8km climb deep in the forest, soaking in the silence (and sweating a bit too). Then it’s game time: we drop into Upper and Lower Helipad, two of the most iconic trails in the Valley. Fast, loose, and full of rhythm, these ridgeline runs throw in just enough tech to keep it spicy. From the bottom, we roll into Kathmandu’s wild urban maze, riding tight alleys, side trails, and city chaos all the way back to base. Fast, gritty, and full of local flavor, this is the ride everyone comes back for.

Kakani to Sundarijal (Scar Route)

1 Hour shuttle to the start. This ride begins where the mountains begin, high above the Valley in Kakani. On a clear day, the Himalayas feel just an arm’s reach away. After a short but steep climb (some hike-a-bike required), we drop into 9km of jungle rollercoaster narrow singletrack, roots, and loamy corners all the way to Gurje. A mix of flat and climb leads to the “30 Minutes of Heaven” trail fast, fun, and forested. From there, we pedal up one last gentle climb before descending rocky ridgelines to Mulkharka and Sundarijal. This route is a wild blend of challenge, reward, and views for days. We shuttle back to the office or your hotel to end the ride.

Kakani to Heli Pad

We shuttle to the start of this ride, which takes approximately 1 hour. The adventure kicks off in Kakani, perched high above the Kathmandu Valley, where on a clear day the Himalayas stretch across the skyline like a painted backdrop. After a short but steep climb (with a bit of hike-a-bike), we dive into a thrilling 9km jungle rollercoaster: tight singletrack, hidden roots, and loamy corners lead us to Gurje. A mix of mellow climbs and contouring trail brings us to the renowned "30 Minutes of Heaven" — fast, flowing, and shaded by deep pine forest. One final climb delivers us to the highlight of the day: an exhilarating technical ridgeline descent down to the Helipad. This last stretch offers exposed sections, rocky features, and serious flow, a true reward for the effort. We cycle back to Thamel. This route is a wild blend of challenge, reward, and unforgettable views.

Dhadagoan to Sundari Jhal or Helipad

This one’s for the purists. No shuttle, just you, your bike, and the open road. We roll straight from Thamel, winding our way out of the city on a steady climb through backstreets, local neighborhoods, and finally, smooth paved roads toward Dhadagoan. The climb is steady and peaceful, surrounded by towering trees, birdsong, and fresh mountain air. Once we crest the ridge, it’s time to drop, a huge descent through flowing jeep tracks and jungle the way to Mulkharka, where we stop for a well-earned local lunch with a view. The ride doesn’t stop there we cruise further down to Sundarijal, and instead of hopping in a van, we keep pedaling, tracing quiet urban roads back toward the city. There is an option to shorten this ride and come down Helipad.
